Angie Henry
Angie Henry is a HPC registered Occupational Therapist and Accredited Hand Therapist (British Association of Hand Therapists, BAHT) with over 20 years qualified experience working in the NHS and private sector within inpatient, clinic, outpatient and community settings.
Angie has a wide range of expertise including hand assessment and hand therapy utilising a variety of treatment modalities working with both adults and children with congenital, acquired and traumatic conditions including after hand surgery.
Angie has extensive experience in the rehabilitation of people with neurological conditions and post-operative rehabilitation for traumatic upper limb injuries.
Her specialist interest is treating adults and children with neurological conditions affecting upper limb function. Her role is to assess and optimise functional outcomes for these patients including the use of therapy treatments and when indicated, the prescription of Botulinum Toxin as an adjunct to enhance the effectiveness of those treatments. Over time her extensive knowledge of the individual child/adults upper limb function can lead to surgical recommendation.
Angie is committed to maximising the potential for clients by providing high quality care and working collaboratively as part of a comprehensive MDT service. She ensures ongoing professional development by regularly attending conferences and post graduate courses and also presents at national and international conferences.
As well as having a clinical caseload, Angie is the Clinical Lead for PSP, taking responsibility for optimising high quality care within our paediatric and hand therapy services.
