Kerry Sheldon Birch
Kerry is a clinical specialist Occupational Therapist with advanced clinical skills with 15 years experience in the assessment and treatment of children with complex neurological conditions. In Kerry’s current role she provides her clinical expertise in the assessment and treatment of young people from 0-19years, working in partnership with statutory, private and voluntary organisations to ensure better outcomes for children.
Kerry is involved in the yearly audit cycle, ensuring staff assist in relevant audits including, record keeping, clinical, caseload, referral, essence of care benchmarking, informed consent. Kerry is a leader in the training and development of staff and under-graduates.
Kerry produces and delivers training packages on behalf of the NHS to the wider children’s workforce. She is currently working with education colleagues to ensure children with complex medical needs access mainstream education ensuring the ‘SEND’ agenda is achieved.
Kerry is positive, enthusiastic, self-motivated and passionate about achieving positive outcomes for children and their families, through quality therapeutic intervention.
