Iain Boyce

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist

Iain is a specialist neurological physiotherapist with a strong focus on spasticity management and complex neurological rehabilitation. He works within the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital as part of the specialist NPP transitional spasticity management service, a role he takes great pride in.

As a qualified injector, Iain works alongside some of the UK’s leading clinicians in spasticity management and is at the forefront of delivering advanced, ultrasound-guided injection techniques to optimise patient outcomes. He is highly results-driven and goal-orientated, committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation. Iain brings 100% commitment to every patient interaction and values shared responsibility and engagement, recognising that the best outcomes are achieved through strong clinician–patient collaboration.

Iain has a particular interest in movement analysis, treatment planning, and the management of complex neurological presentations. He specialises in understanding movement mechanics, identifying underlying deficits, and translating this analysis into effective, patient-centred rehabilitation plans. Building strong therapeutic relationships and supporting meaningful, goal-focused outcomes are central to his clinical approach.

Having always known he wanted to pursue neurological physiotherapy, Iain deliberately sought broad clinical experience to become a well-rounded practitioner. Following completion of his Master’s degree, he worked as a rotational physiotherapist across musculoskeletal care, trauma and orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, and neuro-rehabilitation, before specialising in neurology. He currently works part-time within NHS neurology services alongside his role at NPP Neuro Group, treating a wide range of neurological conditions with a particular focus on stroke rehabilitation.

Iain has been part of numerous successful rehabilitation journeys, supporting individuals with significant disability following stroke or neurological injury to regain independence and functional mobility. He firmly believes that with the right assessment, informed clinical planning, and consistent guidance, meaningful improvement is always possible.
